Valle Chapel
AN ANCIENT CHAPEL TRANSFORMED INTO A FARMSTEAD

Area of the Valle chapel

This chapel was located in an area which still has the place name "la Valle" today, to the south of the inhabited area of Agliè, between the Castle Park and the Bealera of Caluso, near the Palace owned by the Count Flaminio San Martino of Agliè.

Subsequent to 1763, given the sale of the property of the counts and the Marquis of San Martino d'Agliè to the House of Savoy, the two buildings were destined for rural functions.

The palace was transformed into a farmstead and is commonly indicated as "Cascina Valle" while the chapel was transformed over time and used as an oven and is now in a state of complete abandonment.

During Monsignor Asinari's visit it is described as "built elegantly".
